By default Users do not have access to Hosted Exchange; this is an optional extra feature enabled on a per-user basis.

Databases

Atmosphere provides Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL database servers. Access/JET file-based databases are also supported.

The total number of DB server databases, regardless of type, count towards the database limit; Access/JET databases are exempt because they are not server-based.

Every "real world" person, a user, working on your website or wanting their own mailbox will need their own User account.

• A User account is a single username and password which grants them access to your site's webspace via FTP and WebDAV, email services, and for accessing any private directories on your website.
• User accounts also have their own mailbox store, where emails actually reside before being downloaded to your desktop mail program or when using Hosted Exchange.
• A user can have an unlimited amount of email addresses.
• You can discretionarily grant or deny access to the public and user accounts on individual folders in your website by setting ACLs.
• "Hosted Exchange" users get the same email features of regular users, but can also use desktop Outlook and Entourage to access their email, calendar, tasks, contacts, and more. The fee includes a license to use Microsoft Office Outlook.

This is unlike many other webhosts which separate FTP and email accounts, and many don't allow you to grant/deny access on individual folders.

User accounts are also used to login to your control panel and modify website settings and hosting features.

99.95% Uptime guarantee

Not many webhosts can promise 99.95% uptime. In real-world terms that's around four and a half hours' of unplanned unavailability in a year.

If your website is unavailable for less than 99.95% during your time with us and it's our fault, you get a month's free hosting credit (or equivalent refund upon request), and penalty-free early termination.

If your website is unavailable for less than 99.9% during your time with us and it's our fault, you get 6 month's free hosting credit, equivalent refund (upon request), and penalty-free early termination.
